Amphitrite, the Greek mythological goddess of the sea and wife of Poseidon, has been fashioned into this bronze-plated sculpture by Thomas Lee, a supremely accomplished artist and lamp designer from Shanghai. It portrays the ancient goddess of the earth's oceans holding a blue-crimson stained-glass seashell, which serves as an illuminating lamp. The Amphitrite Stained-Glass Table Lamp is available in the United States. Its Tiffany-styled glass "shell" rotates open to either shine a bulb light or closes to emit stained-glass luminescence. It's ideal for night reading or as a television light. The meticulously sculpted statue is a rare example of museum-quality art being entwined with a Tiffany-styled glass lamp. The statue was based on a model of a famous Italian sculpture of Amphitrite from the 18th century. Measures: 8" x 5" x 19"
